Cannot open steam servers

Hi guys,

I've been away from DoD, now that im trying to play again i encounter an issue with my new connection.
I'm playing on a laptop, wireless belkin router
I have already open the steam ports but i cannot seem to view any steam servers.
I have tried to connect directly to the DFA server but no luck.
Can anyone help with this?

Do you have a firewall in your router? Sounds like maybe Steam is being blocked by a firewall.

Is it a new laptop? Or a clean Windows install? Maybe the Windows Firewall isn't set to allow exceptions, and if it is, maybe Steam isn't selected in the exceptions. This, indeed, sounds like a firewall problem.

I think it was a firewall problem
i set my router to allow connections from the steam ports.
Everything is working fine now, i will see you guys in the game from now on.
